Arabic 1/Ab Initio
Arabic is a Semitic language cousin to Hebrew, Coptic Ancient Egyptian, and other languages that are found in northern Africa and the Middle East. This year students will begin to learn about this language throught TPR learning, class projects, and excercises that are intended to develop fluency in the the four areas of learning. We will also learn about different cultualr aspects found in these regions.
Arabic 2/Ab Initio
This class is an in depth vocabulary based class. We are goin to learn several themes through out hte year based on Arab culture via projects and classwork.
Arabic 3/Ab Initio/SL Arabic 1
This class deals with advanced reading, speaking, listening, and writing for the Arabic class.
Arabic Textbooks
Arabic 1 is using "Alif-Baa': An Introduction to Arabic Letters and sounds Second Edition with DVD's" and "al-Kitaab fi Ta'allum al-'Arabiyya second edition with DVD's" by Goergetown University Press. Students can checkout these books and DVD's at will and are given one calandar week to return them.
Spanish 1/Ab Initio
Spanish is a major world language and plays a major role in the economics of our area as well as the United States. Students this year will learn the essentials necesary to hold fluent conversations in the present tense about one's own personal interests and life routines as well as that of others.
Spanish 2/Ab Initio
Students will work within the four language areas for development focusing mainly on the past tenses.
Spanish 3/Ab Initio
The is an advanced class for Spanish students. Students are to learn the language through immersion class settings and presentations.
